A Fantasy Bellydance Concert featuring all-new choreographies, costumes and concepts crafted to entice your heart and your senses. Immerse yourself in rich movement textures, sophisticated music, and the diverse aesthetics of contemporary bellydance, performed by trend-setting artists and born out of our passions, hopes, struggles and spiritual search.

Our theme for this edition is Transformation. There are catalysts, journeys, and evolution in every dance... Hosted by the New York City bellydance salon Venus Uprising , this event is in its 3rd year of semi-annual concerts bringing together star dancers to create unique and unforgettable dance images, highlighting each artist's signature style.

9/24 Bellydance Cruise "Shimmy on the Hudson"

Shimmy On The Hudson September 24, 2009 It's the exclusive Manhattan bellydance performance cruise line of New York City. This night time cruise sails around Manhattan island under the night sky aboard the Star of Palm beach cruise line on Pier 40 West Houston Street. The two hour cruise includes two floors of dancing by live DJ Derajja, food, drinks, hookah, tarot reading, henna artists and a live bellydance show produced by shimmyheat productions. House dancers are Elektra, Erika Veils and Sahazha. Evenings Special Featured dancer: Sarah Skinner. Tickets are $10 in advance / $15 at the door (if not sold out).

JAMBALAYA 2009

Spectacular artists event at the Jambalaya event. There will be various performances coming from all angles of the performance artists genre and a live fashion show. The event will include Belly Dancing, Samba, Salsa, Singers, Rappers, Producers, models and more. In addition the ticket price will include a FREE dinner buffet and desert. Drinks at the bar are available for purchase.

A bellydance Fundraiser to raise money to care for 3 adopted PURE trees in Prospect Park of NYC.

This is a Show I'm really personally excited about! Why? Because the show will feature a line up of some of NYCs in-demand bellydancers. All Sharing the stage for this benefit.

PURE is dance community that is forever connected to my heart. I was member of PURE since the very beginning. Although now I'm not able to participate with them on their dance journeys, I still dance with them in spirit.

So mark your calendars, I look forward to this exciting night. I hope to see you there.
